MAUND® WHISKY
Single Malts form the Alpine Highlands
The single malt that comes not from the Highlands of Scotland, but from the Alps.
MAUND WHISKY - is a THE WILD ALPS classic, a whisky as it should be, as it is written in the book.
Production begins with finely smoked barley, which is processed in a gentle distillation process. Distilled using the ‘small batch’ method, in which traditional copper stills are used, it is created according to the Scottish model and delights whisky lovers with its harmony of flavour and mild smokiness. This liquid gold is then aged exclusively in hand-picked bourbon, sherry and port wine casks, which give it its unmistakable, complex flavour.
Our penchant for naturalness is not only reflected in the high quality: MAUND WHISKY is bottled ‘non-chill’-filtered. The full flavour is retained and the whisky remains as pure and authentic as nature created it.
The whisky bears the name of Sir John Oakley Maund, who owned an extravagant British hunting estate in the Alps and was known for his passion for fine spirits.
The traditional art of whisky-making has been honoured several times at prestigious specialist awards and stands for uncompromising quality and the highest art of distilling. Here you can find a selection of tasting notes from international expert judges for our whisky and all other distillates.
