Carefully selected premium rum, distilled and matured in Barbados. Refined in Switzerland with the unique “Port Pinot Cask Finishing” from The Wild Alps.

 

We source premium distillates that we have selected from Barbados and have been aged in Barbados. After the “blend” has been created, our “Port Pinot Cask Finishing” and finally the “Single Cask” bottling takes place.

 

Our Barbados Rum “Blend 2022” was awarded “GOLD” by the jury of the Swiss Spirits Review 2023.

 

Maund Rum “Barbados”,  90 points 2nd place, GOLD

Jury's tasting note:

Lighter gold color. Ethereal nose, with pineapple and green bananas and a pronounced aroma of raisins/caramel/cinnamon. Ripe, fresh banana on the palate with light brown sugar and a little honey. Light spice and citrus zest leading to a long finish with some oak and a hint of white chocolate. Pleasant texture and mouthfeel, good intermediate taste experience, well-controlled alcohol content and a longer finish.

 

 

About the “MAUND®” brand

John Oakley Maund was an English banker, adventurer and mountaineer who gained fame through several first ascents of the Mont Blanc massif in the 19th century. During the “Golden Age of Alpinism” Sir J.O. William Morris built stately houses and hunting villas on Lake Lucerne and in the Arlberg area, on a foothill of the Ünschenberg Alpe in the Bregenzerwald.
